Well, here we are, three months into 2020 and we’re so busy already – doesn’t time fly when you’re having fun!! Our Grand Auction and fish and chips supper in January, when members bring along items no longer loved and cherished (no husbands accepted!!) to be sold off at ‘silly’ prices was a real ‘fun’ night’ and a great start to our fundraising for the year ahead. In February we held a ‘Caring For Your Environment’ coffee morning – where we had a display table of facts, figures and suggestions to help each one of us do our bit towards caring for our environment - our tag line being ‘great oaks from little acorns grow’. We also had a very popular nearly new clothes stall. Our March Meeting was a complete change for us. When our speaker cancelled, we decided to hold a Beetle drive evening and what a great decision that was – members really enjoyed it – one lady so excited she called ‘House’ on achieving her first beetle. We’re now looking forward to our Fashion Show in April and to St George’s Day, which we have never celebrated before and can’t think why, when we will be having a luncheon, with lots of patriotic entertainment, singing and flag waving.
